Be The Hands And Feet
Personal experience is the best testimony. In Be the Hands and Feet: Living Out God’s Love For All His Children, Nick Vujicic shares his personal story of being Christ’s hands and feet here on earth and the stories of others who are living out the call to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19).
“Every message needs a messenger, and that is our assignment.”
God has been preaching to my heart about the Fruit of the Spirit, mentorship, and evangelism. Each of these themes is discussed in this book and just another opportunity for me to listen to God’s promptings in my life. Nick shares how several ordinary people obeyed God’s call and took on God-sized assignments without proper earthly resources, but God provided.
“We can’t just be passengers in the boat. We need to cast our lines because there is an ocean of people out there who need the redemptive power of God’s love.”
For those who are unaware, Nick Vujicic was born without arms and legs. He and his parents prayed for a miracle and believed fully that God could heal him. But instead, the Holy Spirit revealed to Nick a very unique path for evangelism due to his physical body. Instead of becoming bitter that God had not answered his prayer the way he wanted, Nick chose to join God’s work and praise Him for the opportunity to serve Him.
“If God doesn’t change your circumstance, He will change your heart.”
Be the Hands and Feet is an encouraging read on how God uses everyday people to do everyday tasks that can further His kingdom. We may not see the harvest from our sown seeds or we may not understand why God doesn’t seem to answer our prayers, but we can rest knowing that God is faithful and constant and He will work all things for our eternal good and His glory. Be The Hands and Feet releases February 13, 2018 And is available for preorder now!
